After the overwhelming success and acclaim of The Witcher 3, fans’ expectations skyrocketed when CD Projekt Red announced their open-world RPG. Finally, the game is here, but unfortunately, it comes with a plethora of bugs and technical problems. Many PC users have reported a Cyberpunk 2077 AMD CPU usage issue. If you’re facing this problem, here are a few suggested solutions:
1. Download and install HxD: First, you’ll need to download and install the HexEditor called HxD.
2. Locate “Cyberpunk2077.exe”: Depending on your platform, navigate to the appropriate folder to find the “Cyberpunk2077.exe” file.
– For GOG Galaxy: Choose the game from the ‘Owned games’ tab, click on the ‘Customize’ button (located to the right of the “Play” button), select ‘Manage installation’, and then click ‘Show Folder’. Navigate to ‘bin’ -> ‘x64’ -> ‘Cyberpunk2077.exe’.
– For Steam: Open Steam, go to your Library, right-click on Cyberpunk 2077, click on Properties, open the Local Files tab, and then click ‘Browse local files’. This will take you to the game’s installed folder. Open the ‘bin’ folder, followed by the ‘x64’ folder. You will find the “Cyberpunk2077.exe” here.
3. Launch and use HxD: Before proceeding, make sure to create a backup of the “Cyberpunk2077.exe” file. Open HxD and drag the “Cyberpunk2077.exe” file onto the HxD interface. Hexadecimal numbers should appear.
4. Perform a search: Press CTRL+F and change the column to “Hex-Values”. In the search string window, without quotes, enter “75 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08” and click OK. This will highlight the corresponding values in the editor.
5. Insert new values: Copy “EB 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08” (without quotes). Open HxD again and right-click on the highlighted values, then select “Paste Insert”.
6. Save and exit: Click on the save icon in the top bar and exit the HxD editor.
